Activities: Mostly regenerating native bush & 10 acres of grass grazed by cattle. Rare and endangered species present in bush. Predator control, weed control and revegetation main activities on farm.
Comments: Solar power, composting toilet. No children at home, but two large dogs and a cat. Own room, no special diet restrictions, Nearest town, Coromandel, 1 hr so visitors need own car or else need to hitch from Coromandel. Sandy beach 5 min. Woken at night by kiwi calling. Possibly see a kiwi and spend day with kiwi recovery staff.
Hobbies: Feed tui, bellbirds and silvereyes sugar water. Bush walks, swimming, fishing, shellfish collecting, bird watching.

Activities: Not a farm. Gardening – no garden as yet, we welcome someone to start! Assist with preschool helpful but not essential. Some cooking, house work. Work not hard, depends on your skills and preferences.
Comments: Home by the sea (with swimming pool). Preschooler goes to daycare. I will try to supply a room to yourself. Bus to Thames and then change to Coromandel. Ferry from Auckland on Sun, Wed and Fri.
Hobbies: Fishing, hunting, flying, tramping, walking, reading, painting, gardening and travel.

Activities: Busy, country bed & breakfast. Energetic, motivated, committed helpers with initiative for cleaning, gardening (some heavy), renovations, jam/juice making, general outdoor tasks etc. Meticulous attention to detail required. 3-4 hr/day, 6 days/week.
Comments: Stay in lovely, self-contained caravan. May have own bathroom or share depending on guest numbers, outdoor solar shower available for warm weather. Prepare own meals in caravan, I supplement your supplies with homegrown fruit & vegetables and delicious leftovers. Own transport preferable. 3km from town. I assist helpers to experience the best that Coromandel has to offer. However I need time on my own in the evenings so you must be independent. Lesbians and gays welcome. NON-SMOKERS only.

Activities: Macadamia Nut Orchard. We grow, pick, process, package & market macadamias; converting to Organic. Plenty of work; interest in gardening, food & cooking an advantage. Fairs, markets in summer. Prefer drivers licence to drive farm bike & tractor.
Comments: Enjoy fresh farm produce. Transport an advantage, as we are 7km from Hahei. We can collect from Delmaney Corner, Whenuakite or Hahei. Stay in room in house or caravan. Must have good English.
Hobbies: Cooking, sewing, gardening, walking, fishing, golf, tennis and caring for orchard.

Activities: Not a farm: new easy maintenance holiday park. Cleaning & park maintenance, generally 4 hr/day.
Comments: In summer we will live on-site with our 2 children. Stay in onsite caravan: sleeps up to 4, use main camp facilities: showers, kitchen, TV, computer & laundry. Near natural thermal pools, beautiful coastline: swimming, surfing, kayking, snorkelling & diving. Near Hahei, Cathedral Cove, Cooks Beach. Whitianga 20 min: banks, supermarkets & shops. Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga all about 2½hr drive.

Activities: Sheep mustering, docking, worming, horse handling, riding young horses, fencing, spraying, gardening, tree planting, general maintenance, shooting/hunting.
Comments: No children at home. Home kill and organic where possible. Can pick up from Paeroa 5 min away. Close to Thames & Waihi. Excellent walks on property and in the Karangahape.
Hobbies: Farming, riding & fishing.

Comments: Adult children & grandchildren visit. In foothills of Coromandel Ranges with walking tracks surround our farm. Close to Thames & Paeroa 12 min. Four spare rooms in a large comfortable farm house.

Activities: Beef and sheep farm on private island on Coromandel Peninsula. Small chalet development. Assist with maintenance of grounds, cleaning of units, feeding animals, moving stock, gardening, housework, cooking etc. Pay for extra hours if required.
Comments: Share self-contained apartment in main house. Main meals supplied not snacks or alcohol. Guests do own cooking and sometimes cook for family and other staff. Pick up from Tairua information centre. Boat transfer required to island (be prepared to stay in backpackers if boat delayed (own cost).
Hobbies: Fishing, diving, snorkelling, kayaks, sailing boats available, some horse-riding possible.

Comments: I am a widow, semi vegetarian living in an open plan house in a quiet peaceful valley. 12 km to Miranda hot pool. 11 km to gem factory. Thames 30 mins. Semi-vegetarian meal at times. I am very busy but warm, no dreamers please.
Hobbies: Swimming, reading, gym, gardening, farming, drawing cartoons and landscape designer.

Activities: Building a spiritual retreat & healing/teaching centre. Currently designing/installing a completely eco self sufficient eco village with sustainable authentic living practices on QEII protected native bush block. Heritage fruit, subtropical, nut orchards
Comments: We live in Auckland but stay on land in weekends. Short stay visitors while only basic amenities (composting toilet) onsite & no accommodation – must BYO tent or campervan. NO drugs/smoking/drinking. Between Tairua and Whitianga, Hot water, Hahei and Te Karo beaches 15 min.
Hobbies: Bush walking, scuba diving, beekeeping, 4WD, meditation, teaching, healing.

Activities: Hobby farm. Household help, feeding chickens, collecting eggs, fencing, gardening mowing. Help with meals, farmers market and learn to make pizza in our oven at home.
Comments: We have 2 children – primary and toddler. We try and live self-sufficiently and with respect for mother nature and her children. Near great river: swimming, fishing and play.
Hobbies: Acupuncture, Ti Chi, co-creator and artist.
