Comments: Christian family, we’d appreciate that you respect our Christian values, eg sleeping arrangements. 6 children primary – secondary school aged. Stay in lounge cum bedroom off main living area with double bed & shared facilities; restful view from home. Pick up from bus in Balclutha 20 min, Owaka 10 min. Bottom Bus passes daily (Summer) /weekly (winter). Beaches, bushwalks and wildlife close by. Drivers license useful but not essential.
Hobbies: Church activities, family time, meeting people, reading.

Comments: 1 daughter away from home. 1 hour to Te Anau, 1 hour Invercargill, 30 mins Gore. Can collect from Lumsden.

Activities: Sheep, beef and deer farm plus farmstay. Workers will help us run the farmstay as well as farm chores. Some sheep work, firewood , organic veg and flower gardening. Also housework, cleaning and bedmaking and some food preparation.
Comments: 10 min from Curio bay and 20 min drive to Cathedral caves and other Catlins attractions. Accommodation is a sleep out close to the home. Invercargill is 80 km. Bottom bus and Catlins Coaster daily, drivers license a benefit.
Hobbies: family, farming, Lions club, community groups eg rural woman, church. Gardening, music, painting, cooking.

Activities: Small Native Plant nursery. Help with, reforesting a block of land in Natives and planting seedlings.
Comments: Couple with 3 children. Property on Signal Hill overlooks Dunedin and near mountain biking tracks and walking tracks that link to the hills around the city. Stay in a heated caravan parked in a private site away from the house. Nearest bus stop 25 min walk down the hill.
Hobbies: Tramping and the outdoors. Native plants.

Comments: We are a young NZ couple with no children. We are outgoing, have travelled widely and love meeting new people. Nearby fishing, hunting and spectacular scenery. On the main highway, halfway between Queenstown and Milford Sound.

Activities: Accommodation lodge with tame farm animals for guests. Helping clean the lodge, gardening (vege & flowers), some landscaping, childcare. Situated in the mountains there are bush walks that our visitors love. Trout fishing in the rivers.
Comments: Preschool twins and young school age child. Usually stay in housebus with 2 comfortable beds, a pot belly fire & beautiful views. Between Wanaka & Haast and pick up from bus in Makarora.
Hobbies: History of our Waitaha ancestors, gardening & fishing.

Comments: Couple with 4 bedroom house, lovely walks and views. Horse riding, spinning, knitting, walking (wild deer), nearby is gold panning and gold era history. Beach 1½ hr, snow fields 2 hr, s from the. rail trail 40 min. Pick up from Roxburgh (closest town). Cold & snow in winter, hot in summer.
Hobbies: Vintage tractors, miniature horses, pottering in garden, weaving, cooking & company.

Relaxed lifestyle, not vegetarian - eat most foods, and drink moderately. We go to local rugby & soccer. Can pick up from bus and rides to town with staff possible.

Comments: Would suit a tramping type - live on the edge of Mt Aspiring National Park with variety of tramping tracks around (the best in NZ i think! ). Emily is a stay at home mother to two well behaved young children. Chris works full time as a DOC ranger. We have a spare room for accommodation. 40 mins from Wanaka and travel in 2 times a week.
Hobbies: Fun with the kids, camping, walking, multi sports, running, biking, hunting (mainly wild venison), skiing & kayaking.

Comments: 2 children, one boarding school during week. New large, well heated room (double & single bed, can add for children), exclusive adjoining bathroom (toilet/shower/large spa bath). Hill farm near Catins forest. Collect from Tokanui 10 min or Invercargill 45 min. Dunedin 2 hr, Curio bay & petrified forest 40 min, Ashers lignite mine 20min.
Hobbies: Children first, cooking, gardening and flying (private pilot).

Activities: Sheep farm. Feeding animals, wood, painting, home help, gardens, helping with hay, cleaning hen house etc.
Comments: We run a farm stay also which is busy in Jan-April. 5 min to Edendale where we can collect you from the bus. Outdoor hut available if inside beds have paying guests.
Hobbies: D.S. enjoys fishing and claybird shooting; B.S. cooking, floral art, gardening, knitting.
