Activities: Help build our pizza oven (mixing clay with sand and hay etc....) and to do some gardening. Heavy lifting might be necessary at times, male helper needed. Accommodation and food for 4 hr daily work.
Comments: German couple located in central Levin. Stay in own room, no bed – double mattress on the floor. We do not eat much meat, occasionally some chicken or mince. Town centre with shopping mall 5 min walk. Pick up from bus can be arranged.
Hobbies: Hiking, boat fishing, helper welcome if there is a nice weekend.

Activities: Blueberry Orchard and artist studios (wood block prints and textile art). Also nut & lime trees, a few alpacas & sheep. Help with maintaining the blueberry area and nut tree orchard, weeding, housework and stock work.
Comments: Couple from Germany - no children, 2 lovely dogs. We speak German & English. We are vegetarians, but can provide other food. Helpers have own room & entrance; self contained flat in peak season. *stay 1 week off peak & 3 week or more during picking time. Collect from bus at Levin (2 km). Beach 5 min & Tararua Ranges 5 min.
Hobbies: Arts, crafts & books.

Activities: Mucking out morning & night for 4 horses, feeding & grooming. Cook evening meals, mow lawn & some weed control
Comments: Family of 3, teacher & sheet metal worker, pre teen daughter. Visitors have their own room in relaxed home. Can pick up from Palmerston North or Wellington (bus/airport) or town within 1-2 hours drive.
Hobbies: Horses, farm or beach rides, picnics, outdoors, wineries, music festival/concerts and rugby.

Comments: Hosts from Germany - an immigrants perspective of NZ. 2 spare beds. 2 children in family.

Comments: I live alone. Very close to Wellington city, bus stop next to house, train 5 mins walk, shops 2 mins walk, clean healthy environment own room good food.
Hobbies: Travel, cooking, music, family and puppy.

Activities: Olive grove, nut orchard and rambling gardens.. Help with general gardening, grounds and house maintenance or cooking an evening meal and/or cleaning - no special knowledge necessary. Painting and handyman skills welcomed!
Comments: Easy going couple with no kids, 2 cats & chickens. Stream, small lake on property with drawbridge and dinghy. Otaki 5 min, Wellington 60 min (weekday commuter from Otaki 7:15am, returns 6:20pm). Stay in large bedroom with king bed, ensuite and large separate lounge with open fire, sky TV, DVD player etc. Second bedroom with queen bed for pairs travelling who are not couples.
Hobbies: Chatting, cards and sampling NZ's best wine and beer!

Comments: Well travelled 60's young-at-heart couple. Own room & bathroom (share if more than 1 helper.) Beach 10 min. Can pick up at Otaki bus depot (5 min) or Paraparaumu railway station. Wellington 1 hr.
Hobbies: Gardening, Labrador breeding, travel.

Activities: Lifestyle block raising calves & beef; also a kennel and breed Labradors (a couple of litters/year). Help with light housework and help with calf rearing and dogs. Nothing too strenuous as you are on holiday!
Comments: We have 6 children, 4 still at home. You will have your own room with a shared ensuite in our beautiful new home. Happy to pick up from Wellington (Interislander Ferry, airport) or Palmerston North (airport) both 1 hr, or train/bus 10km down the road at Otaki. Ski fields and hot pools 3 hr. We also have a holiday home available to us in beautiful Taupo. We will go out of our way to make sure you have a wonderful experience in NZ.
Hobbies: Craft, my children & breeding sound dogs. Motocross racing (boys).

Comments: Pioneer cottage, self contained with spa bath. Visitors must like animals – we have poultry, pea fowl, birds, dog and cats. *Parents must pay for children’s food.
