Comments: I live alone and sometimes have German students here over summer. My mother helps on the farm regularly. Visitors have their own room.

Activities: Organic farm: olive grove, Red Devon Cattle, goats (gorse control) & free range chooks. Grow our own veges. Tasks: weeding, gardening, feeding out to stock. Help planting orchard and herb garden. Must be able to work unsupervised.
Comments: Michael works in Wellington, Gaye works off farm 2 days/week. Close to mountain walks, wine and olive growing area. Bikes available for transport, Greytown is within biking distance. Stay in own room in the house or in a caravan near the house. We are big conversationalists.
Hobbies: Storytelling (stage and café), writing (novel), spinning, photography & grandchildren.

Activities: Hobby farm: sheep, pigs, chooks, ducks, horses, cat, dogs, organic vegetable gardens & an orchard. Help with animals and gardens depending on time of year and what is being raised. Could help with baby chickens or bobby calves.
Comments: Two adult flatmates, large 4 bedroom house or self contained studio available at times.
Hobbies: Animals, gardening, fixing broken stuff.

Activities: Orchard fruit and nut. No animals except cat. Cottage on site rented to guests. General garden work, household chores, some landscaping, pruning trees, orchard maintenance, lawns, general property upkeep. Not organic but sympathetic.
Comments: Couple children left home. Guests will live in the main house, double bedroom: queen sized bed, sep. toilet, and sep. bathroom. Hosts speak English, Dutch, German, Frisian and some Swedish and French. We try to live a self sufficient lifestyle.
Hobbies: Property itself, landscaping, cooking, sewing, woodworking, gardening, textile art.

Activities: Large sheep and beef farm near Palliser bay. Help with farm and house work.
Comments: Own room in quiet house. 15 minutes walk to the coast. Possible horse riding and fishing.

Activities: Traditional farm: cattle, sheep and deer plus adventure tourism - horse trekking, chasm walks, a high ropes course and GolfCross to the public. Suit flexible people are happy to help home and farm, especially horse trekking (not neccessarily riding) -
Comments: Grown up children and grandchildren visit often. Own comfortable room in house and great farmstyle food. Pick up from Featherston (train) or Martinborough (bus). Scenic farm close to Martinborough. Local attractions: vineyards, bush and scenic coast.
Hobbies: Horses, GolfCross, confidence course, scenic walks and swimming in river.

Activities: Sheep, cattle and farm dogs. Assist with gardening, firewood, stockwork, fencing and general farm duties.
Comments: Two teenage boys. Pick up from bus-stop at Masterton (nearest town). Own room available (2 single beds) or self contained cottage if not booked for paying Homestay. 2 cats sometimes in at night, no dogs in house section.

Activities: Life style farm: sheep, calves, and chooks. 3-5 hr work/day, general farm or gardening work, no skill required.
Comments: Couple living in 5 bedroom house with large gardens and well established trees. Generally own room, otherwise share twin, or double. Very close to railway station, and bus terminal in Masterton. 1½hr to Wellington. ½hr to wine area in Martinborough. With adequate notice transport can be arranged from Masterton or Wellington.
Hobbies: The property itself!!

Activities: Lifestyle block with large wetlands, race horses, cattle, sheep and small vineyard. 6 hours work, general duties and could include work in garden statue and ornament factory. Sometimes travelling around NZ in my "big truck" doing deliveries!!
Comments: Large house and grounds. Have your own room - spa available. Only myself and the dogs in the house! Home is always an "open home" to family and friends. 1km to Masterton, pick up from bus or train station.
Hobbies: Golf when time.

Activities: Sheep/beef farm. Gardening, sheep/cattle work, oil horse harness, light housework and pet lambs/calves in season.
Comments: 1-2 bedrooms available, pleasant restful outlook over Longbush Valley. Two older teenage boys in family. Hobbies: 1-3 hours work – not overworked!
Hobbies: Rare breeds including Shropshire, Ryeland and Arapawa sheep; Red Poll cattle & Clydesdale horses.

Activities: Mainly Bed and Breakfast conference centre with deer, sheep and cattle. Mainly helping in Lodge making beds, ironing, cleaning and dishes. Also feeding animals, grubbing thistles and gardening.
Comments: 23km to Masterton. Own bedroom.

Activities: Breed and raise sport horses. Very busy in the Spring, Summer and Autumn periods and would be interested in hosting a confident horse handler/rider in return for assistance around the farm with the horses.
Comments: Relaxed couple with a young baby. Also have dogs, cats, sheep and cows. We live in a modest property and our
house is quite small. Nearest town is Masterton (10 min away) can collect from bus or train.
Hobbies: Horses, what else???
